Deutsche Geophysikalische Gesellschaft (DGG)

I was coordinating bi-annually the organization of German geodynamic workshops of the DGG working group "Dynamics of the Earth Interior" from 2004 to 2016, a complete list of these events can be found here.

The workshop series was initiated in 1987 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Germany, and meetings took place every two years (national resp. international events). The international branch of this series has been located throughout Europe, including France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Norway, Italy and Switzerland. It was renamed in 2018 by the EGU Topical Events Committee in honour of the 19th century English mathematician Ada Lovelace.

Geodynamic Workshop Series

I helped to organize the 12th International Workshop on Modeling of Mantle Convection and Lithospheric Dynamics in Groß-Dölln, August 20-25, 2011 (link). With 121 participants this conference is among the largest events in this workshop series. Some years before this event, I organized a national workshop, the 5th German Geodynamic Workshop in Caputh, September 28-30, 2000 (link).
