Modul MGEW17 - Tektonophysik und Rheologie

Das Modul vermittelt die Beziehung zwischen Deformationen und Spannungen in der Erdkruste:
  1. Einführung in Mechanismen wie Sprödbruch, Diffusion, Versetzungsgleiten und Kriechen mit dem Ziel, ein Festigkeitsprofil der Erdkruste aus Labordaten zu extrapolieren.
  2. Die Verbindung zwischen kritischer Krustenfestigkeit und Erdbebenherdprozess wird erklärt. Die Mechanik von Verwerfungen, die Mechanik von Erdbeben sowie der seismische Zyklus werden behandelt.
  3. Die theoretischen Grundlagen rheologischer Modellierung werden vermittelt.
